Day 5:   

Dye colour: Woad Dusky Pink.  Woad is usually associated with blue dyes, but the plant produces soft pinks when the waste from the blue extraction process is gently simmered. Grown in my own dye garden.     

Knitting Pattern: Ribbon Eyelet. This is a very simple 2 stitch repeat pattern which should be a nice relaxing knit. Join today's yarn & follow the charted pattern for 17 rows.      Row 71: RS. Sl 1, k2 tog, yo. Slip stitch marker, Knit to 3 before end, slip stitch marker, knit 3. Turn work (59 sts)    

Row 72:  WS. Sl 1, k2 tog, yo. Slip stitch marker, purl 1, knit 51, purl 1, slip stitch marker, knit 3. Turn work (59 sts). 

Row 73: RS. Sl 1, k2 tog, yo. Slip stitch marker, k1, * ssk yo *, repeat * to * 24 times, then k2, slip stitch marker, knit 3. Turn work (59 sts)  

Row 74: WS. Repeat row 72.  

Row 75: RS. repeat row 71.  

Row 76: WS. Sl 1, k2 tog, yo. Slip stitch marker, purl 53, slip stitch marker, knit 3. Turn work (59 sts).  

Rows 77 through 82:  repeat rows 71 to 76 once more.  

Rows 83 through 87: repeat rows 71 to 75 once
