Our paints begin life in Folkestone Harbour Yarn's Naturally Dyed wool range, where natural pigments first bring colour to knitting yarns and socks.

In keeping with our Studio's dedication to sustainability, the leftover dye from each bath is carefully reclaimed, separated from the water, and transformed into a smooth, 100% natural watercolour base

Every pigment is hand-ground in small batches using traditional methods that trace back to the Ancient Egyptians and even earlier civilisations. The result is a collection of watercolours that embody both heritage and environmental responsibility - paints that allow artists to create with beauty, history, and care for the planet.

Ingredients are naturally extracted pigment, local honey, gum arabic and clove oil.
