Suzi is an experienced teacher and yarn dyer, whose work has been featured in publications such as Simply Crochet, Mollie Makes, The Knitter, Knitting Magazine & more. She is fully insured to teach workshops.
This course will teach you how to use a mini darning loom to weave patches into garments and accessories to repair holes, tears or cover stains. You will choose your own threads/yarns from a wide range of colours to repair your item and can choose to use clashing colours for a visible mend or matching threads for a more subtle look. The mini loom can be used to weave patches approximately 4-5 cm square which can cover a wide range of rips, wear, stains and other damage.
By the end of the 1.5 hour workshop you will be able to use the loom with ease and will have completed a woven repair patch on your garment. The loom will be yours to take home and keep.
NB: Loom may be a 10 or 12 hook loom, subject to availability.
You will also receive a 10% discount on any F.H.Y. products purchased on the day.
Please note that we do not issue refunds on Workshops once they are booked. This is because time is blocked out for teaching meaning that the studio cannot be used for anything else, and also because dye materials for students are brought in specially.
If you have an issue meaning you can not attend on your booked date, please contact us in advance of the date to arrange re-booking on to the next suitable available workshop.
If you are unable to attend this second workshop date after the re-booking has been arranged, then unfortunately your booking cannot be re-arranged a third time.
