Folklore is the first pattern written specifically for Folkestone Harbour Yarn’s range of naturally dyed yarns. It is designed to show off the wide variety of colours that can be achieved using natural products and highlight the way in which all the shades produced using these age old techniques sit together harmoniously.
Folkestone Harbour Yarn is a small, independent yarn dye studio, based in the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter. We produce a wide range of hand dyed yarns using natural dyes and acid dyes on British wools of various weights, all of which are available from Fharbouryarn.etsy.com.
This listing is for one PDF download only. Yarns & kit are available to purchase separately.
This pattern is written in U.K. Crochet Terminology (a chart showing UK/US ‘translation’ is included).
The scarf is one size only. The finished item will be 180cm long by 15cm wide, but you may prefer to make the tassels longer or shorter.
The pattern recommends a 3mm crochet hook. Gauge is not that important as the pattern recommends blocking before wearing, but if your crochet style is particularly loose you may want to use a slightly smaller hook.
