Emerald Green Merino Blend DK 100g

'Emerald'. A vibrant jewel green.

Available on a variety of (mostly) merino yarn weights.

Our solid and semi-solid range is inspired primarily by Folkestone's Creative Quarter (where we are based) and references artists, art, craft and textile history, traditional pigments and colours, other creatives, and the local area in its inspiration and colour origins. It was Shakespeare who first associated green with envy in The Merchant of Venice, when Portia warns Bassanio against "green-eyed jealousy" during the casket test, bot most people see green as a soothing colour, being the predominant shade of nature and the countryside. It is also the colour used to denote environmentally friendly products, something that we wholeheartedly endorse at FHY. Emerald was the stone in my Mothers engagement ring because it "matched her eyes".

Dyed on our Superwash Merino Blend DK weight yarn base which is incredibly soft and warm whilst remaining hard wearing, can be machine washed (30 degrees recommended) and holds the colour well.
