Simple Short Row Sock Knitting Pattern 4 sizes Digital Download

Knitted ‘top-down’, these socks are cast on at the cuff, then worked in the round to the heel. The heel is formed by short rows before the work is joined into the round again and the foot is continued until you reach the toe which is shaped with decreases, then seamed closed using the three needle bind off method.

Sizing: Adult S (M, L, XL) which equate to UK shoe size 3-5 (6-8, 9-11, 12-14)

Foot size guide: Leg: 14 (15, 18, 19) cm or 5.5, (6, 7, 7.5)”.

Foot length: 22-23.5 (24-26, 27-28.5, 29-31)cm or 8.5-9.25, (9.5-10.25, 10.5-11.25, 11.5-12.25)”.

Materials: Folkestone Harbour Yarn Merino Blend Sock, any colour, 425m per 100g. Sample shown in 'Rammskeins: Oli' colourway. Alternative Yarn: 55 (70, 75, 90)* grams, 240 (300, 320, 385) metres or 260 (330, 350, 430) yards approx fingering / sock weight yarn around 425m per 100g.

Gauge: 32 sts & 46 rounds per 10cm/4” in stockinette on larger needles.

Needles: 1 x set 2.25mm (US #1 ) and 1 x set 2.75mm (US #2 ) Double Pointed Needles (or as required to meet gauge).

Notions: Movable stitch markers, darning needle, waste yarn/stitch holder or large safety pin. Scissors or snips.
